I have asked and I pray that my label will release me.....Ciara

The rumour that singer Ciara has been dropped by her record label has been going round(it was reported on this blog).Well the singer has come out to tell her own side of the story via her facebook page. She is alleging that she  is the one who wants to leave the label .
'This week the net has been a buzz of the rumor that I have been dropped from my label. At this point that rumor is false.. It is true that

I have asked and I pray that my label will release me. I have had some great times and success with my label, but sometimes like all great things, its at that point where I feel we don't share the same views on who I am as a artist. The past two albums have been very frustrating for me. At times there were songs I chose to lead a project and I was ignored! This project, I even tried to get Gimmie Dat started I spent tens of thousands of my own money only to hear the radio pds tell me my label didn't want the song played.I even spent more than one hundred thousand dollars out of my pocket on the video to bring my vision to it and still no label support. I do understand that some labels are not financially supporting their artists and I have become one of them… You, my fans, know that I strive to do my best to deliver to my you the best songs and creative vision I possibly can. I'm dedicated to my music, performance and to my fans! Ive tried to be a team player with the label only to have compromised what I truly believed.. And was not given the right opportunity to promote and inform my fans of the release of this album..I have so much of me as a artist I still want to give to the world and my fans. A release would allow me to go be creative with people who care and understand me as a artist. In a short time, I will be able to bring to you a new music energy and a visual excitement! Thank you so much for standing by me through the good, bad, and the confusion. I love you all.'

Prince Gives Eric Benet And P.Diddy The Cold Shoulder

Will the real DIVO please stand up!! Singer, Prince has picked up a new habit. These days he tries to publicly humiliate any celebrity that catches his fancy. His victims include Kim K,P.diddy and now fellow musician Eric Benet.
Prince shut Eric Benet out of the Essence Black Women in Music pre-Grammy event in Hollywood because Benet is

engaged to his ex-wife, Manuela Testolini, sources told Page Six.
The event which went down on Tuesday night at Playhouse in Hollywood honored Grammy-nominated singer Janelle Monae. Benet, who was married to Halle Berry, was disinvited once Prince was expected as a special guest. Organizers believed it was because Prince didn’t want to be in the company of his ex.
Prince married Testolini, an entrepreneur who also used to work for his charities, in 2001, after he divorced his first wife, backup dancer Mayte Garcia.
The “Purple Rain” rocker and Testolini were married for five years until she filed for divorce in 2006. At the time, Prince’s lawyer, Patrick Cousins, told People magazine: “This isn’t something that he wanted . . . He didn’t countersue. He is just trying to get it resolved.”
…Others at the Essence magazine event included Sean “Diddy” Combs — also reportedly cold-shouldered by Prince, who seemed unfriendly when Combs went to shake his hand.  Yikes!!

All this drama because over his ex wife?

Reflections...... I Love Me,Love Me, Uncondtional Love

Fela and Tara Durotoye
Love !!!! The word of the moment.A feeling so deep and that it breaks barriers. It can be a strong feeling for something someone or yourself.Today we celebrate and draw inspiration from people who have genuinely shown what it is to love and support their spouses (the people pictured. The truth is that most of them would not have been the sucess they are now without the support of their better half. They have weathered the storms of life  because they had someone to be their strength)
Obaro and Heirut Ibru
But what is real love? Real love is the ability to love someone despite their imperfections. The ability to

more after the jump

see the strength despite the weakness.
Eyimofe and Dorothy Atake
It is ability to allow and make someone discover his/herself without any restriction or barrier. You bring out the beauty in the person without bringing him/ her down.
AY and Mabel Makun
But you can only genuinely love others when you love yourself. Most people focus on their short comings. The craze for physical perfection is always in their heads and when they do not achieve it, self hate sets in. At this stage you either can not see the beauty in others or you become clingy resulting in low self esteem and most times irrational behaviour on your part.
The truth is that true beauty comes from within.Accept yourself flaws and all because nobody is born perfect. Focus on your strength(which are much if only you will acknowledge them ) and not your weakness.Love your self unconditionally and feel the joy and piece within.
Mattew and Omotola Ekeinde
The truth is that Self love attracts true and unconditional love.
When you are able to love God,yourself and others without reservations, then you are able to love the most precious gift given to you............ LIFE.You are able to love and live life without reservations, experiencing peace within you.
Today Celebrate that person/people who have genuinely helped you discover yourself...it might be your parents, siblings, friend or that special person in your life. Celebrate yourself and LOVE  without restrictions and barriers.Show love today and Always.

Happy valentine's day. Love you all.Muuuahhh!!!

Lady Gaga is actually in the egg cellent incubator pictured above. The six time Grammy nominee stayed in the incubator and refused to talk to anyone on the red carpet saving her energy  for her Gammy performance. She only made a brief stop to acknowledge Ryan Seacrest while her team explained the idea behind the egg womb .It is being speculated that she was in the egg for 3hrs before she arrived the red carpet.
All I can say is wow. She always tries to make headlines and the thruth is that she ACTUALLY DOES.
I might have my reservations sometimes but i will like to give kudos to her. This must have taken a lot of courage and determination.

Nah Wahh Ohhh!!!YOUTH CORPER SHOT....MISTAKEN FOR ANTELOPE.

It was a narrow escape for Miss Christiana Enechejo Paul, a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)  member, after she was mistaken for an antelope and shot at by her landlord in the village of Mbube,  Ogoja in northern Cross River State.
P.M.NEWS gathered yesterday that Miss Enechejo, a graduate of Auchi Polytechnic serving at  Comprehensive College, Mbube, was posted to Bepeh, a neighbouring community where she is doing her  primary assignment by INEC as adhoc staff for the just concluded voter registration exercise.
In Bepeh, she and another female colleague were

more after the jump
given a room to share in the home of the village  primary school headmaster as temporary quarters while undertaking the registration exercise.
“I and my colleague were given a room from where we report to the registration point each morning,”  Miss Enechejo told P.M.NEWS.
She said on the morning of the fateful day at about 5:45 a.m., she had gone to the nearby bush at the  back of the house, which is a cassava farm owned by the village headmaster.  While there son of the  headmaster joined her in the bush and soon left in a hurry only for the father to come out with a gun  and fire at her.
“I understand the boy went back to the house to tell the father that he had seen the antelope that was  always coming to eat their cassava in the cassava farm every morning.  But I did not know that that  was what he did, I only heard gun shots and pellets hitting me,” she said on her hospital bed.
Miss Enechejo, who was rushed to the Catholic Hospital Moniaya in Igoli, has again been taken back to  Mbube where the pellets are being extracted from her body by a traditional healer.
“She is recovering gradually, the pellets are still buried in her body that is why she is still  shivering,” Mrs. Catherine Umoru, elder sister to Miss Enechejo, who is looking after her, told our  correspondent.
Mrs. Umoru said the INEC zonal officer for Ogoja has visited Enechejo.
“We have not been asked to pay any bills yet. We do not know what will happen when she gets well,”  she said.
The police at the Divisional Police Station in Ogoja told P.M.NEWS that the headmaster, whose name  they refused to disclose, and his gun have been transferred to Calabar, the Cross River State capital.
However, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Cross River Police Command, ASP Etim Dickson,  said he was not aware of the incident but reliable sources at the command at Diamond Hill said the  headmaster is with the anti-homicide department.    The matter is still being investigated.
Mr. Michael Igini, the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner, who spoke to our correspondent on phone,  said “the girl is recovering and the pellets are being extracted from her body.
