Daughter of Akwa Ibom resident electoral commissioner's released by abductors


Utibeabasi Ikoiwak, the 11-year-old daughter of the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Rivers, Aniedi Ikoiwak, kidnapped on June 19, has been released by her abductors.

service was ongoing. Ikoiwak told newsmen on Sunday in Port Harcourt that his daughter was released late on June 2 at an undisclosed location.
``Please, join us to thank the Almighty God, Utibeabasi is back home,'' he said, expressing appreciation to all friends and well-wishers who stood by the family when his daughter was taken away. Ikoiwak declined to say if any ransom was paid before the daughter was released.
