Deola Sagoe Presents 'Ori Oke' : 2011 Summer Collection

Nigerian designer Deola Sagoe is out with the lookbook for her new collection  'Ori Oke'. The designs  were inspired by Japaneese culture while still being influenced by her nigerian roots. The clothes in this collection were made from fabrics like Aso- Oke and Adire.

Ori Oke…derived from the Japanese word “Shibori” and the Yoruba word “Aso-Oke.” Both words describe methods of creating the traditional cloth of the respective cultures.
This is a collection inspired by the similarities Deola Sagoe sees within the Japanese and the Yoruba style of dress.” — Deola Sagoe.
