The Full List Of Nominees For The 2010 Future Awards

The full list of nominees Future Awards has been unvieled. This year, nominees will vie for awards in 21 categories.
“This is the first year we are having 21 categories. We have always had 20 categories, but the Young Person of the Year prize is a special prize and is taken separately from this year,” said Ohimai Atafo, head of the Central Working Committee for the awards. “We are confident that young Nigerians will find this list highly inspiring and are incredibly proud of the nominees we have.”
All the nominees will be celebrated at an invitation-only media and VIP Nominees Reception on Sunday December 19, 2010 – where they will also be inducted into the elite The Future Alumni Network. The event will also be an opportunity to raise money for Love on the Streets, an NGO working with disadvantaged children of the Dustbin Estate, Lagos.

Prince William & Kate Middleton Share Two Official Engagement Photos

The newly released photos – the official portrait photographs for the engagement of Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton – were captured during a two-hour shoot by fashion photographer Mario Testino, who was hand-selected by the groom-to-be, 28, for the task.
"Prince William has
worked with Mario Testino on many occasions before, and so the couple decided that he was the right choice for such an important portrait," said a Clarence House spokeswoman.
Middleton, 28, did her own makeup for the photos (as she did for her televised post-engagement interview), though Testino's makeup artist was on hand for touch-ups.
For the formal photo – which was snapped in the historic Council Chamber linked to Clarence House, the official residence of William's father Prince Charles – Prince William donned a Turnbull and Asser suit, while Kate chose a white Reiss dress and Links earrings. For the dressed-down denim look – taken in the Cornwall Room of St. James's Palace – William changed into a Turnbull and Asser shirt and Brunello Cucinelli sweater, with Kate opting for a Whistles blouse.

Blazin Hot Video .... Movie Trailer: Tango With Me, Starring Genevive Nnaji and Joseph Benjamin

Producer/director Ali-Balogun said the movie is based on a newly-wed couple who face adversity. Issues raised in the movie, he said, are those relating to rape, infidelity, life in general and the question, “How do we cope with these problems when they affect us?”
On the concept for the story, the director said, “It is a blend of fiction and non-fiction and it took almost two years to get it out. We spoke with clinical psychologists and people who have experienced these issues.” The title, ‘Tango With Me’, he said, is derived from the idea of dance “as a metaphor for marriage.”
Working on producing the movie with Ali-Balogun is an expatriate back-up crew from Hollywood. The producer-director justifies this based on the advanced equipment being used in the film’s production. “The advantage of shooting on 35mm is that we get to air at foreign festivals. The emphasis on this medium is especially for the international target audience. It gives a lynchpin and acceptance in terms of the level of quality it brings.”
The celluloid medium, he said, will also reduce the likelihood of piracy. Undoubtedly, a serious matter considering Ali-Balogun says he has spent close to N50 million on the project.

The movie is a psychological drama, telling the story of a couple whose love for one another is tested on their wedding night. Thereafter begins a journey of renewing love, trust, self-discovery and forgiveness.
Aside from Nnaji and Yerima, ‘Tango With Me’ also stars Joke Silva, Alex Usifo, Barbara Soky and Joseph Benjamin. The movie is planned for release in May 2010.
Renowned more for making documentaries, Ali-Balogun is a constant participant at the Cannes Film Festival in France. He has shot numerous other films and has been involved in the MNet New Directions film project series.

Na Wah Ohh!!! Baby Born With Teeth

Breast feeding can be uncomfortable at the best of times, but one mother who found it particularly painful was amazed to discover her new baby already had two front teeth.
Patricia Caulfield, 25, from Liverpool, said she noticed her daughter Fiona's pearly whites a day after her birth at Ormskirk hospital.
Ms Caulfield said: 'When she was born, I noticed two white slits on
her bottom gum and the nurses said they were teeth.
'The next morning, when I was feeding her, I felt a sharp pain and saw they had come through fully.
'My midwife told me this is really rare. Children are sometimes born with buds but hardly ever full teeth.'
Two-week-old Faye Armstrong has now grown another two molars at the back of her mouth.
Most babies don't develop their first tooth until they are around six months old, and it is usually a lower central incisor.
Ms Caulfield, who works in recruitment, is currently at home on maternity leave with her new arrival and her son, three-year-old Alfie.
She said her partner Andrew Armstrong, 26, a tyre fitter, was also surprised with the delivery.
She said: 'He was shocked too, but he does not have to feed her, so it is not bothering him!
'We are so pleased with her and it is amazing she already has two of her baby teeth. I did not think it ever happened.
'It does not run in the family and I do not know anyone else it has happened to.
'I have been told to keep an eye on the teeth in case they become wobbly and fall out - she could choke on them.
'I keep joking that if the pregnancy had gone full-term, she would have been born with a full set.'
Ms Caulfield's community midwife Joyce Davies, who works for Liverpool Women's Hospital, said: 'While you are always told to check for signs of teeth, it is actually a very, very rare event to find two fully erupted teeth after so few days.
'You often find little beads in the gums but there is no doubt about it - these are two fully-formed teeth.
'This little baby certainly got all she wanted for Christmas - her two front teeth!'

Rapper Ikechukwu fights at Night Club

After the MAMAs last night, a few friends and I decided to end the night at Rehab Club on Ajose Adeogun and well, a few minutes after we got there...the fight with Ikechukwu and a bouncer ensued. They wouldn't let him through the gates and
he flipped. (They let Naeto C and Sauce Kid in a few minutes before Ikechukwu arrived). It looked like it was deliberate...!

Ikechukwu's such a nice fellow but when he gets angry...wow! During the fight, he took his shirt off, his very expensive sun glasses fell (btw, I have the pic of the guy who took Ikechukwu's glasses incase anyone wants it back...:-)). The bouncer he fought with bled through the nose...I hear Killz has a black belt...or maybe the bouncer didn't really want to fight him back?
Anyway, the rapper has since apologized for his behaviour.
Ikechukwu's tweets
If u party at rehab pls don't talk to me. That club is dead to me. A bouncer put his hands on me for what ????? FUCK REHAB aNd all its fucking people
"I stOpped going to rehab cos not only does the club just suck as far as space is concerned but it always has one funny smell. Then I just can't stand the people running the club. Feel among dey vex them. If I no gree be ur friend no be by force na. Ah jo oo"
Just wanna apologize to my fans for bringing myself so low yesterday. This is not the kind of character I portray or expect anyone else to. People will always test u. Show strength with restraint. God bless
