in her interaction with the press that she hopes to do more brand endorsements with her new found fame. She described her statement about not needing the $200,000 cash prize as a misrepresentation by the media but rather meant that with the experience from the show, she would be walking away with more than $200,000.

 According to her, her drive is to truly highlight the entertainment scene in Ghana with her popular Aphrodisiac Nightclub being just the tip of the iceberg. Her media outfit, Venus is set to roll out TV shows highlighting the true essence of showbiz, the essence of her and her birthplace, Ghana, whilst giving others a run for their money.

She outlined a rather bold plan including a future talk show, cook show, a reality TV series via her media outfit, as well as a number of charity projects.

             Children, and breast cancer in particular are causes Confidence identifies with and she intends to be at the forefront of these causes. She said her ‘Project Smile’ campaign will be used to perform surgeries for birth deformities for children.

As part of her new role as Brand Ambassador for DStv Mobile in Ghana, Confidence also received a Nokia 5330 handset with 15 DStv Channels and a year of free subscription on DStv Mobile.

Nah Wah Oh!!! Woman Abandons Baby To Die, Corpse Found In The Ceiling

According to P.M.NEWS   Toyin abandoned the three-day old baby girl on Monday while she was picked up yesterday and detained pending the out-come of police investigation into the incident.

A resident of 353, Agege Motor Road, Challenge, Mushin, Lagos, Emmanuel Adebiyi Osho, who reported the matter at the police station, told our correspondent that in the early hours of Monday, he heard a strange noise from the suspect’s room.

“She claimed her last born sustained an injury on the leg and showed me a bucket full of blood,” Osho said.
Osho added: “However, we later discovered Toyin’s dead three-day- old baby girl soaked in blood inside a polythene bag in the ceiling of the fifth floor of our house. I called the attention of the landlord, Tajudeen Adedapo Salami, who followed me to the police station to report the incident.”
The police came immediately and arrested Toyin who is now undergoing interrogation.
When the police went to Ladipo Market, Mushin where Toyin’s husband, Sodiq Olaomo sells spare parts, he could not be located. None of his colleagues at the market knew his whereabouts. He was, however, arrested this morning.
The husband’s initial absence fuelled suspicion because Toyin reportedly told the police that her fleeing husband was aware of what led to the incident.
Our correspondent was not allowed to speak to the woman to know the motive for her cruel act.
A source at the police station informed P.M.NEWS this morning that the police are trying to establish whether the abandoned baby was a foetus aborted by the woman or that she gave birth to the baby naturally but allowed her to die in the ceiling.

Big Brother All Stars Kenyan Contestant, Sheila Launches Showbiz Career In Nigeria

Big brother Africa All Star's Kenyan contestant and Uti's Nwachukwu's alleged crush in the house Sheila Kwamboka  is set to to debut a music video soon. The video which was shot in Nigeria was directed by Alex Mouth of Tinsel ( who is also rumoured to be her manager)

She also bagged a role in a Nigerian action flick titled 'Zip' which  starts shooting soon.

“I can’t say much about the movie but I’m playing the role of an assassin, there will be lot of guns, jet skiing and motor bike racing in the movie. Right now I’m taking some lessons in bike riding,” Sheila said.

 In a telephone interview with Hot Secrets, Sheila spoke about her stint in Nigeria and why she has opted to launch her career there.

“Nigeria has a very vibrant music industry. Kenya is still home but Nigeria is my office, I’m a world citizen.”

HSBC Closes Redeemed Church's Account Because They 'Don't Want To Deal With Nigerians'

 

    I don't know exactly  how true this gist is, but it  is being alleged  that if you are a Nigerian with a Nigerian passport, you can not open an account with HSBC New York. The gist started running wild after they closed down the account of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, New York Branch. 

   According to a member and official of the church:"HSBC’s recent refusal to continue their banking relationship with our church (International Chapel Brooklyn of The Redeemed Christian Church of God) was on the grounds that we are Nigerians and that they will not ‘deal’ with Nigerians.

Yvonne Nelson's Ban Lifted

Beyonce Fired Her Dad Matthew Knowles, Over Theft Allegations.

   Beyonce's former manager  and father Mathew Knowles has just filed legal papers which reveal the real reason why he was let go as  Beyoncé’s Manager: he allegedly stole from her!

In the documents obtained by TMZ, Mathew claims Live Nation Entertainment - which has a lucrative deal with Jay-Z – desperately wanted a cut of Beyoncé’s 2011 world tour so they allegedly told Beyoncé that Mathew “had stolen money from Beyonce on her most recent tour or otherwise taken funds that [he] was not entitled to.”

Beyonce had her law firm conduct an audit and they found that he was allegedly stealing money from her so Beyoncé axed him as her manager.

Mathew claims that Beyoncé then hired a former Live Nation exec to act as her manager and still has ties to the company.

However,Beyoncé’s dad insists the theft accusations are false, and he wants the judge to allow him to take depositions of various people at Live Nation, to figure out how they concluded he was a thief.

Taiye Taiwo Duped By Aide

Nigerian footballer Taiye Taiwo has reportedly been duped by one of his trusted Aides. According to MTN.com,  his aide who is also his agent absconded with about 100,000 euros (he got it from his deal with a top sports brand ), which was allegedly paid to him after an endorsement deal.

How David Named His Daughter 'Harper Seven'

Nigerian Movie Producer Drags DSTV To Court

   Cable Tv giant DSTV has been dragged to court by a Switzerland based Nigerian movie producer JoeAihende.

  

Trouble started about four years ago when Joe Aihende and his companyMotherland Ventures and General Services located at 58, Aerodrome Close, OffEkewan Road, Benin City, Edo State also with a business office located at 29,Olufemi Street, Off Ogunlana Drive, Surulere, Lagos was approached with theintent of buying his movie titled “Check Point”. The plan then was for theproducer to sell the broadcast right of his movie to DSTV, while they use it ascontent on their movie channels, amongst which is African Magic. 

However, trouble started when

Joe was informed bythe management of DSTV that the movie would be broken into parts one and two.According to a reliable source, Joe Aihende did not like this idea and so hechanged the initial agreement of selling the movie and returned to his base in Zurich, Switzerland.But Joe was shocked when friends in thecountry informed him that his movie had actually been aired on African Magic,one of the channels of DSTV. Joe however, revealed that he was astonished whenhe contacted Multi Choice on the development and was informed that the moviehad actually been sold to them by Joe’s duly authorized representatives oneToni Anih, working with the company name Africa Mega Entertainment and yetanother guy, Andrew Ohirien Coker who actually sold the movie’s broadcastingright for five years. 

While the case is currently in court, DSTV ismaintaining the stand that Anih, actually sold the movie to Multi ChoiceNigeria Limited maintaining that if Joe had any problem he should sort it outwith those he allegedly sold the movie to before relocating to his base.Trouble reportedly started on the 8th of September 2007, when DSTV aired  the movie“Check Point”, produced by Joe Aihende without his permission. 

Anassociate of the producer revealed that Joe Aihende decided to drag MultiChoice Nigeria to court over the infringement of his copy right in the movieCheck Point, when he realized that all his anticipated earnings from themarketing of the movie had been lost. The producer is said to be suffering fromemotional break down having obtained a huge loan from a bank in Zurich, Switzerlandto prosecute the movie. Joe Aihende is currently indebted to the tune of 50,000Swiss Francs to the earlier stated bank, GE Money Bank at Zurich, which was meant for effectively promotingthe movie. Till date, Joe is still indebted to the bank and does not see a wayout of the dilemma. 

However, reacting to this development, via a legaldocument, DSTV revealed that they hadnegotiated and acquired the broadcast rights of over 6,000 films and other suchcontents in Nigeria and across Africa in the past and that they usually rely on a variety of documents when acquiring rights to films in Nigeria, including, butnot limited to the censorship certificate or other documents from the NationalCensors Board, which has the name of the producer endorsed on it. Infurtherance to their claims on the issue, DSTV revealed that it is a commonthing to find producers relying on agents to collect monies on their behalf forthe rights acquired regarding their content, which is typical of Joe Aihende’scase.

Bow Wow Removed From Daughter's Birth Certificate

 

  According to TMZ, while Bow Wow's baby mama ,video vixen Joie Chavis was undergoing an emergency C-section for her first child with the rapper, he did not show up for the baby's birth.  So she decided to remove  him from the birth certificate completely. Sources say Joie is angry  that Bow Wow did not show up until six days after baby Shai's birth. 

                                   

    She allegedly claims  that Bow Wow is pretending to be a  loving doting dad in the open letter he penned to his fans, but failed to mention that he was not there to support her during the delivery of their daughter.

Quick Gist : Woman Dies of Allergic Reaction to the Dog She Had Sex With

    From Ireland comes the story of a  43-year-old woman who encountered a man in a bestiality chat room and then met him at his house in Limerick. She had sex with his Alsatian dog and then had a severe allergic reaction shortly afterwards, possibly from the dog's semen. She later died at the hospital. The incident apparently took place in 2008, but medical experts just confirmed the cause of death, because the case is finally making its way to court, not because it took them this long to get over the shock of how she died. The dog owner, Sean McDonnell, is charged with "buggery" for ordering the dog to commit the act. Buggery is apparently still a crime on the books in Ireland, so thank God for that. McDonnell is thought to be the first person charged with it since it was enacted in 1861.

Basket baller demands for wedding ring after proposal was rejected

Dallas baller Roy Williams Jr has dragged his  former girlfriend, ex Miss Texas Brooke Daniels to court demanding that the engagement ring  he bought  and sent to her in a mail  be returned. He also proposed to her through the mail.

also sent $5,000 for school and dental bills, a baseball for Daniels’ brother and a recorded marriage proposal with the ring through the mail just before Valentine’s Day. Brooke didn't accept the proposal....but she kept the ring!

Naturally  after the rejection, Roy asked for the ring back but to his surprise, Brooke said she "lost" it. 

An investigation, launched by Roy's insurance company, located the ring and  found it  with Brooke's dad, Michael Daniels.

It gets a little tricky though. Michael Daniels claims that he has documentation that Roy told Brooke to keep the ring....but he will return it to avoid a lawsuit.

In a recent court filling, Dallas baller Roy Williams Jr. asked for the return of a $76,600 engagement ring he sent to pagent queen Brooke Daniels....in the mail.  yes, he proposed to her by sending her an engagement ring IN THE DAMN MAIL.

Britain's biggest selling paper 'News Of The World' to close down over phone hacking scandal

One of Britain's oldest and biggest selling newspaper 'News of the world' is reportedly going to close down on Sunday 10th July after it's final  edition, forcing around 200 people to loose their jobs. The 168 year old  paper is immersed in allegations of phone hacking. Read more here.
