Why Eagles Ganged Up Against Yekini—Oliseh

Former Super Eagles captain, Sunday Oliseh, believes Nigeria would have got better results from Rashidi Yekini at USA ‘94 FIFA World Cup and the team could have done better but for the deep-rooted division in the Nigerian team.
He told SuperSport.com that “the only reason I am saying this is for the future and for the country, for people to learn and because

I feel that honour has not been given to Yekini like it should…some players had scores to settle with Yekini and all that.”So many people have always wondered why Yekini would celebrate alone after scoring Nigeria’s first ever goal in the FIFA World Cup when he opened scoring against Bulgaria on that hot afternoon in Dallas. It was a sweeping move began by Oliseh who won the ball deep in Nigeria’s half. His quick change of pace and precision passing to Daniel Amokachi, who brilliantly guided the ball down the right flank to Finidi George .The winger would explode down the flank and would pick out Yekini for the simple tap in, score and the stadium erupts into a sea of green and white and joyous chants of Nigeria. The world would watch in amazement as Yekini rushed into the net and alone, all, all alone like that famous line from the rhyme of the Ancient Mariner. He would chant, scream all by himself, an image that personified the legendary goalscorer supreme and one of the defining moments of USA ‘94. No one came to meet him.“Yekini had some beef with some players because I was in the background, I was watching everybody and I know those who were involved,” he said.“Some of our players were madly, sickly, mentally jealous the moment Yekini was honoured. He was leaving for Panathinaikos, and there was some jealousy there. Yekini himself was not smart enough to calm things down.”Oliseh believes Yekini was special. “Which other striker do we have in the history of Nigeria, who strikes 30-metre shots? If Yekini can count the number of goals at the highest level, it will be over a hundred… of all the strikers we talk about in Nigeria, which other striker?” he asked.

Novak Djokovic wins Nadal.... Find out what he is allergic to

Before he conquered Rafael Nadal on the Wimbledon Championships grass courts Sunday, Novak Djokovic beat out another worthy opponent: pizza.
The Serbian pro tennis player, 24, who secured his champion title with a 6-4, 6-1, 1-6, 6-3 win over Nadal, has cut out food containing

gluten, including pizza, pasta and pretzels, from his diet.
Last year, Djokovic's nutritionist found out the athlete was allergic to the protein, which is found in common flours, reports The Wall Street Journal. Since, he says he feels much more confident on the court.
And it shows: as of Monday, he was already guaranteed to take over the No. 1 ranking from Nadal.
"He has massively improved his serve, his fitness, and he's hitting his forehand a lot better," Brad Gilbert, ESPN commentator and former coach of Andy Murray and Andre Agassi, said of Djokovic prior to Wimbledon. "I've never seen anybody move better on a tennis court in my life"

Manchester City Defender Kolo Toure Fails Drug Test

Manchester City defender Kolo Toure has been suspended after testing positive for a specified substance.
The 29-year-old was informed by the Football Association that an A sample he

more after the jump
provided had returned positive.
City confirmed in a statement that Toure had been suspended “pending the outcome of the legal process”.
Ivory Coast international Toure, whose brother Yaya also plays for City, is a former club captain who joined City from Arsenal in July 2009.
The defender has gone on to make more than 50 appearances for City, although he was not involved in Wednesday’s FA Cup victory over Aston Villa.
The failed test automatically triggered the suspension and it is understood that Toure was left out of the squad because the club had been made aware of the situation.
The City statement added: “There will be no further comment from the football club at this stage.”
And on Thursday evening an FA statement said: “The FA can confirm that a player has been provisionally suspended from playing pending investigation, having tested positive for the use of a prohibited substance.”
The World Anti-Doping Agency defines a specified substance as one that is “more susceptible to a credible, non-doping explanation”.

Rihanna And Matt Kemp Split

Rihanna and baseball ace Matt Kemp have reportedly ended their relationship, just weeks after Matt’s odd behavior with an unidentified female outside a Los Angeles nightclub prompted allegations that the Dodgers outfielder, 26, was a cheat.

While a source close to Rihanna, 22, tells Us that it was Matt who
called for the pre-holiday split, Star Magazine claims Rihanna's ongoing infatuation with her former flame, rapper Drake — who she dumped after a brief courtship in March 2009, was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
Star says: “For the past month, Rihanna has been spending more and more time with Drake and has been slowly falling for him. They had a brief relationship right after her breakup with Chris Brown, but she was too traumatized by the whole situation to take him seriously.”
Despite collaborating with Rihanna on the smash single “What’s My Name?” this year, in June, Drake looked back on his romance with the Barbadian crooner bitterly, telling The New York Times: ”I was a pawn…You know what she was doing to me? She was doing exactly what I’ve done to so many women throughout my life, which is show them quality time, then disappear. I was like, ‘Wow, this feels terrible.’”

I know i said it on this blog when i posted the video for what's my name that i noticed some kind of chemistry between Drake and Rihanna in the video. Well i am not exactly surprised.

BONFRERE………SIASIA IS BETTER THAN KESHI

Former super Eagles technical adviser, Johannes Bonfrere believes the man who
led Nigeria to the silver medal finish at the football event of the 2008 Olympic Games in  Bejing, China, Samson Siasia deserves to be made Lars Lagerback’s successor.
Bonfrere, who led Nigeria to her greatest achievement, an Olympic soccer gold in 1996 in Atlanta says Siasia is miles ahead of Keshi in terms of  technical competence and character and wants the Nigeria Football Federation not to dissipate  energy in calling the duo of Siasia and Keshi for an interview.
“If the Nigeria Football Federation has decided to go for a local coach and have indeed shortlisted the duo of |Siasia and Keshgi for the job, then I think they should not waste much time in giving Siasia the job”, he began in a telephone chat from his base in Holland.
“Siasia is a better choice. The NFF should never give it to Keshi because he is not what people think he is , he blasted the Dutchman who once worked with the duo as an assistant coach to another Dutchman, the self proclaimed Dutchgerian, Clemens Westerhof.
When complete sports sought to know what he meant by “ Keshi is not what people think he is’ he refused to offer an explanation, only insisting that Siasia posses better technical and human qualities than Keshi.
