Cinderella's Ball.......Handy Essentials For The Big Day

So, the big day is fast approaching. All the deposits have been made, fittings have been completed, alterations have been made & the accessories have been purchased.
Now what? Most times just that little thing might either ruin your day or cause an uncomfortable hitch in your wedding preparations. There is no cause for alarm. Here are some things you/your Bridesmaids might find handy on the BIG DAY:
    1. Handkerchief - Better than tissue. Avoids smears, clumps & rawness.
2)Your personal camera. Even though there is going to be a hired professional photographer, nothing beats the pleasure of capturing those fun unscripted moments shared by the bride, brides maids and friends. Beautiful unscripted

more after the jump
moments that you can share with friends after the occasion. To me this is priceless.
4. Beautiful flip flops for the bride. I know wearing flip flops is a fashion No No (especially on a glamorous day like this)but the bride is going to stand for a good part of that day and standing in stilettos for a long time is not fun. Besides it will be easy for the bride to boogie on the dance floor wearing flats.
5. Hand lotion
6. Makeup kit w/mirror - For quick touch ups, just in case there’s no Makeup Artist on-site during the ceremony.
7. Sewing kit - Just in case someone loses a button, breaks a snap or pops a strap.
8. Perfume to dab on. Take along the perfume worn by the bride preferably in a travel size bottle. You want the bride  smelling good for her man now don't we. At this point I would like to add that if the bride can afford it she should pick a special sweet smelling fragrance she has never worn before so that anytime she perceives it, she is transported back to her wedding day instantly. Can even bring back memories of the  first
night with his 'wife'  anytime the groom(man) smells it.
9. Light snack - preferably a no-mess food. Something with no sauces, creamy fillings or crumbs.
10. Anti-perspirant/Deodorant - Especially for outdoor weddings, in killer heat to keep the odour and sweat away. You don't want people avoiding you.
11. Hair care items - Brush/comb, bobby pins, hairspray.
12. Sanitary products
13. Mini bottled water - You have to  stay hydrated, even if its not an outdoor wedding.
  14. Journal - If time permits, its nice to have each Bridesmaid write down everything that happened on that day. Could make for GREAT picture captions.
15. Extra earring backings (or adhesive converters, for clip-on earrings) – The last thing you need, is to lose the back of an earring.
16. Bath Salts or Bubble bath - Can’t afford to send your Bridesmaids to a Spa? After strutting down the aisle & dancing like machines, they can look forward to a nice feel-good soak in the bath tub. Ahhhhh!
17. Baby Wipes - Good way to keep cool & stay fresh!
18. First Aid Kit
19. Aspirin
20.Peppermints or Mouth Spray. You sure want to always have fresh breath.
Many of the items are available in trial/mini sizes, so as not to take up alot of space.
Kits can be assembled in a number of ways: tote bag, backpack bag (good for full size items). No kit is too large or too small. If its possible to personalize the Kit, that’s cool too.
With these essentials you are sure going to have a beautiful and fun filled day prepared for any eventuality.
Can I be naughty and add lingerie. I know this is not very important for the wedding party/reception, but what the bride wears when she is alone with the groom is very important.
Help the bride get a beautiful lingerie, preferably in the grooms favorite colour. If you do not know ask the bride or take her along (this should be done before the wedding day). Believe me this one is really important *winks*..
